How much Louis Delmas plays in the exhibition season is still up in the air but Lions coach Jim Schwartz said Sunday he'd like the safety to see the field if his knee allows.

Delmas was one of four players missing Sunday's practice the first since Friday's 26-17 exhibition victory over the Jets. Cornerback Chris Greenwood (hamstring) remained sidelined and safety John Wendling (unspecified) and cornerback Ross Weaver (unspecified) were new absences.

For the most part the Lions are on their way to returning to full strength. Cornerback Ron Bartell (shoulder) returned to his spot with the first-team defense and cornerback Jonte Green (hamstring) practiced with the third team again.

Defensive ends Jason Jones (knee) Willie Young (leg) and Israel Idonije (hamstring) all practiced Sunday despite missing days last week. Wide receiver Ryan Broyles (knee) also resumed team drills.

So for now Delmas is the only true injury concern but Schwartz said how much he plays Thursday against Cleveland if at all is yet to be determined.
