The long-awaited, much-anticipated, once-delayed return of Evan Longoria will occur today when the Tampa Bay Rays activate the third baseman before tonight's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

"Thanks for all the support, can't wait to be back in a Rays uni (tonight)! See you there," Longoria tweeted Monday afternoon not long after the Rays announced infielder Will Rhymes was optioned to Triple-A Durham.

Longoria missed 85 games with a partially torn left hamstring suffered April 30. The Rays, 15-8 at that time, are 41-44 without Longoria.
