With the Flyers visiting Tampa Bay on Sunday night to wrap up a two-game road trip in Florida, we should point out that Vinny Lecavalier recently celebrated his 1,000th NHL game.

"I feel young," the 32-year-old center told the Tampa Tribune. "I really do."

Lightning management gave Lecavalier a silver stick to mark the occasion, which actually happened in Carolina.

The club had to wait until Lecavalier returned home against Ottawa to make its presentation.

"He's doing it all right now," Bolts coach Guy Boucher told the paper. "For me, I've been here three years now, this is by far the best training camp I've ever seen him in, the best shape I've ever seen him in with me.

"And dedicated to the winning things, not the flashy things. It's very noticeable for everybody."

Lecavalier apparently changed his offseason workout routine. Boucher thinks his top centerman is actually quicker because of it.
