Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri will have a disciplinary hearing at 1pm et Thursday for his hit to Minnesota Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom during Minnesota's 2-1 shootout win on Wednesday.

Kardi ran over Backstrom seven minutes into the game. Kadri's elbow appeared to hit Backstrom in the head. Backstrom lay on the ice for around 30 seconds before sitting up. He eventually left the game with what the club called an upper-body injury.

"That'll be interesting to see what happens there because it looks like he got him right in the head," Wild forward Zach Parise said after the game. "That's what we're trying to get rid of. It'll be interesting to see what they decide."
