It didn't look good for Bruins center David Krejci yesterday in Pittsburgh when he was nailed on the right knee by a Johnny Boychuk slapshot and had to be helped off the ice. But not only is Krejci not seriously injured, there's a chance he will play tomorrow night against the Jets.
"He's day-to-day," said B's coach Claude Julien after his team's brief optional skate today in snowy and frigid Winnipeg. "He's getting treatment, and day-to-day means we'll see how he is tomorrow. There's no broken bones. The damage is from the shot.
"We're hoping he'll be back soon. It's nothing serious to the point where we're talking weeks. It's the same thing as Chris Kelly: Even though he's out for a while, we all know it could have been a lot worse. Same thing with David. Considering where he got hit, it could have been worse. But right now we're dealing with a day-to-day situation. We'll see how he feels tomorrow and go from there."
Krejci injury 'day-to-day'; not as serious as thought
