Ian Kinsler has added another element to his ongoing slump: batting with runners in scoring position.

Kinsler enters the Rangers' series opener at Houston Tuesday night with only three hits in his last 21 at-bats with a runner in scoring position. For the season, he is hitting only .185 with runners in scoring position. That is the ninth-lowest average among AL qualifiers.

"I'm hitting .235," said Kinsler, citing his overall average. "You can look at anything. Right now, I stink."

Form says playing on the road will not bring Kinsler out of his funk. He is hitting a league-low .181 for road games.
