For one game at least, the Kings managed to meet expectations and actually took care of business at home against a bad, undermanned team.

DeMarcus Cousins continued his All-Star push with another spectacular effort, tallying 24 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and a block in the win. Rudy Gay was phenomenal as well, tallying 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists, and shooting 8-13 from the field. Gay is now shooting 51.4% from the field as a King.

Sacramento's Isaiah Thomas had a rare off night (9 points on 2-13 from the field) but did tally 7 assists and 2 steals. Jimmer Fredette and Derrick Williams provided a nice spark off the bench with a combined 25 points.

Orlando was without center Nikola Vucevic and thus had no answer for the Kings inside. The Magic were held to just 33.3% shooting (a season best for the Kings defensively) and were outrebounded 54 to 37. Five Magic players scored in double digits, led by Tobias Harris' 16 points. Arron Afflalo had 15 but shot just 3-12 from the field
