Detroit Red Wings defenseman Kent Huskins left Friday's game with an upper-body injury.
Huskins was hurt on a crushing hit by David Backes during the third period of the Wings' 5-3 victory. Backes got called for illegal contact to the head, though replays showed Huskins took the brunt of the impact to the chest.
The Wings said Huskins will be re-evaluated today. If he can't go tonight at Columbus, Brian Lashoff is ready in reserve.
Defenseman Ian White, who suffered a bad cut to his left leg Jan. 22, said he might play Tuesday, though there's still some concern about re-aggravating the area above his knee where he was cut by Jimmy Howard's skate.
