Charlie Manuel's postgame news conferences are much different on the road than they are at home.

At home, he sits at a dais, behind a microphone, and fields questions in a formal setting. The event is televised and things can get a little rigid.

On the road, things are more relaxed as Manuel sits behind the desk in the visiting manager's office and chats with reporters. The setting is more conducive to Manuel showing his sense of humor, as he did after Tuesday night's 1-0 win over the Miami Marlins.

"I've got something real intelligent for you guys," Manuel said as reporters entered his office. "If the other team doesn't score, we can't lose. Put that on the front page."
