Whether the National League's leading vote-getter in this year's all-star balloting actually plays in next month's midsummer classic remains an open question.
But Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp, out since aggravating a hamstring injury May 30 that put him on the disabled list for a second time this season, indicated Thursday he expects to play in the All-Star game.
"If I'm not ready, I can't play, but as of right now I plan on playing," Kemp said.
