No. 2 overall pick Luke Joeckel agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars this week which puts the spotlight on No. 1 overall pick Eric Fisher, the Kansas City Chiefs rookie and No. 1 overall pick. He was asked on NFL AM on Tuesday what the status of his rookie contract is.

"I leave that all up to my agent," Fisher said. "When my agent gives me a call and tells me to sign, hey, I'll be there to sign. Congrats to Luke. Hopefully I can get mine done soon."

This isn't the 'ol days where we have to worry about rookies signing contracts. The rookie wage scale makes this process easier so I suspect we'll be hearing soon that Fisher's deal is complete.

Fisher talked about a few other things on NFL AM:

Moving from left to right tackle: "The transition went very smoothly. I played left tackle for three years, almost four years, so it was a little bit of a transition but I think it picked it up very well."

How long can he stay at right tackle: "Obviously playing left tackle would be my dream but playing on that field as a rookie, I'll be just fine with that."
