Broncos coach John Fox returned to Denver on Wednesday and was back at his area home by early afternoon. Fox underwent aortic valve replacement surgery Nov. 4 in North Carolina, where he has a home and has been recuperating ever since.

"He'll spend Thanksgiving at his home, and at some point in the near future, he hopes to return," Broncos interim coach Jack Del Rio said of Fox. "When he does, you'll hear about it."

Del Rio stressed that in the meantime the team will focus on its upcoming games and not pay undue attention to any kind of "watch" for Fox's return to the sidelines.

Broncos sign Fua. After the Broncos placed Kevin Vickerson on season-ending injured reserve Wednesday, they signed a replacement defensive tackle, Sione Fua.

Fua played sparingly for the Carolina Panthers over the past three seasons before being waived Nov. 12. The Panthers also briefly switched Fua to offensive line earlier this season.
