The Red Wings scored two straight power-play goals to help them win their second consecutive game, 5-2, against the Avalanche on Tuesday night at Joe Louis Arena.

"It was great to see the power play respond with two goals, especially when we needed them, too," Nicklas Lidstrom said. "It was only a one-goal game, and we get two on the power play to get us going."

Johan Franzen scored on two tips during man-advantage situations, deflecting first Valtteri Filppula's shot and then Niklas Kronwall's.
