Jimmy Howard is back in net against the Edmonton Oilers, and Daniel Cleary is back in the top-six mix.

The Detroit Red Wings, fresh off an invigorating 5-1 victory Thursday against the St. Louis Blues, next face a weekend double-header, Saturday against the young and speedy Oilers and Sunday against the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings.

Coach Mike Babcock said after Friday's practice that Howard will be back in net after getting his first game off in 10 at St. Louis. Petr Mrazek came in and did a solid job, but he was also fronted by a great effort from teammates, the kind it'll take to build a winning streak against the Oilers.

"Last time we had a good game, the next two weren't so good, so it's important we match last night's effort," Babcock said. "We've got a good weekend here - we've got a good, quick team in the Oilers coming in, should be lots of fun."
