With Eric Gordon fading in the second half, reserves Ryan Anderson and Jason Smith came up big off the bench Friday night. Smith led the bench scoring with a season-high 22 points while Anderson added 20 points. It marked the first time since May 5, 1999 that the New Orleans Hornets had two reserves score 20 or more points.
Gordon finished with a team-high 23 points but he managed to score just three points in the second half while Anderson and Smith added 18 and 17, respectively, in the final 24 minutes.
