Stars center Jamie Benn almost won a car on Thursday night in the All-Star Game Fantasy Draft in Ottawa.

Benn is participating in his first All-Star Game and the NHL now drafts teams. As a consolation prize, the last player selected among the 38 players receives a car and $20,000 to donate to charity. Benn and San Jose's Logan Couture were the final two players standing, and they walked out onto the stage together for the final selection. Then, Team Chara captain Zdeno Chara said he wanted Benn on his team because Benn had battled back from an emergency appendectomy Jan. 15 to be able to get to the All-Star Game.
