James Harden, an All-Star in his first year with the Rockets, was named as third-team selection to the All-NBA team today.

Harden received five first-team votes from a panel of 119 writers and broadcasters.

He is the first Rockets to be an All-NBA selection since Yao Ming was second team in 2009. Yao and Tracy McGrady were third-team picks in 2008.

Harden finished behind guards Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul (first team) and Tony Parker and Russell Westbrook (second team).

Another third-team selection? Lakers center Dwight Howard, a free agent that the Rockets are pursuing to join Harden.

LeBron James was a unanimous first-team selection.
