Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew (left ankle) is listed as questionable but the vibe around his availability changed dramatically when he was able to participate in some team drills – specifically red zone plays – during practice.

“We made some good strides” Jones-Drew said. “It was a big jump from [Thursday and Wednesday].”

Jones-Drew who has been receiving 3-4 treatments per day will test his ankle during today’s walk-through and again a few hours before Sunday’s kickoff. If he’s able to start he said he’ll be healthy enough to take his regular work load.

“I did some striding – nothing big but tested it exploded and cut a little bit and it was OK” he said.

Jones-Drew will be playing with some discomfort and left the final decision up to coach Gus Bradley and the training staff.
