The Jacksonville Jaguars decided to start trimming some of the fat on the roster before training camp by releasing undrafted rookie free agent Jordan Rodgers. Coming out of Vanderbilt Rodgers and quarterback Matt Scott from Arizona headlined a rather strong undrafted rookie class. Florida Times-Union beat reporter Ryan O’Halloran implied on Twitter the roster move was made because Rodgers was hurt.

After acquiring Mike Kafka from waivers it seemed the Jaguars would go into training with 5 quarterbacks. Currently Jacksonville will open camp with Blaine Gabbert Chad Henne and Matt Scott to go along with Mike Kafka.
