Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert was unable to finish this morning’s practice after sustaining a sprained right ankle.

The play happened during the final segment of the workout outside EverBank Field. As Gabbert tried to move in the pocket he was hit in the ankle by right guard Uche Nwaneri.

Gabbert went to the turf but was quickly on his feet and he limped back to the trainer’s shed. After practice he was carted back to the stadium’s trainer’s room.

During a brief appearance in the locker room Gabbert had the ankle taped but said “I’m good.”

A player who saw Gabbert in the trainer’s room said the quarterback was “fine – he’s fine.”
