The Cardinals have adjusted their rotation to throw their three hottest pitchers at the Milwaukee Brewers, one of their National League Central Division challengers, in a three-game series that will begin here Tuesday night.

Righthanders Lance Lynn, Adam Wainwright and Shelby Miller, Saturday night’s winner, will start the three games with veteran John Lackey, who last pitched on Wednesday, to be skipped a turn. Manager Mike Matheny made that announcement through the club’s public relations staff about 45 minutes after the conclusion of the Cardinals’ 5-4 win over Colorado.

With an off day on Monday, Lynn (15-9), Wainwright (18-9) and Miller (10-9) all will be pitching with customary four days’ rest.
