The Indians' eight-man bullpen didn't last long.

A couple of hours before opening the season against Toronto on Tuesday night, the Indians activated left-hander Scott Kazmir and optioned lefty
Nick Hagadone to Class AAA Columbus. Kazmir will start Saturday against Tampa Bay at Tropicana Field.

Hagadone had an excellent spring, allowing one run in 9 2/3 innings. He struck out 11, walked two and allowed six hits.

Kazmir went 1-0 with a 3.46 ERA in four Cactus League games this spring to win the fifth spot in the rotation.
