Ian Kinsler did speak with a small group of reporters Tuesday, some 40 minutes after the completion of the Rangers' 6-3 loss to Kansas City in which two of his mistakes played key roles in changing the game.

Kinsler was picked off third base with one out and Josh Hamilton at the plate in the third inning after Elvis Andrus bunted him over. It was the fifth time this year Kinsler has been picked off on the bases, the most in American League.

"Normally with Josh up the third baseman is pretty far off the bag," Kinsler told the Associated Press. "I didn't check him and they got me."

The answer didn't completely fit with manager Ron Washington's explanation for the play. Washington noted that in addition to the big lead, Kinsler let his technique get a little sloppy.
