Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday will return to the Cardinals lineup for Game 7 tonight after missing Sunday night's Game 6 due to back stiffness.

Manager Mike Matheny made the decision to keep Holliday out of Sunday's lineup after noticing Holliday having a difficult time extending through pitches during pregame hitting.

"He was fighting me, saying he wanted to play," Matheny said Sunday.

Holliday, who will bat in his familiar No. 3 spot tonight, is hitting just .222 (10 for 45) for the postseason and .190 without an extra-base hit in the championship series.
