Chris Heisey said he kept checking his nose to make sure there was nothing wrong. And even on close inspection, there seemed to be little-to-no discoloration or any other indication that he was hit in the face by a thrown baseball.

“It felt like a freight train,” Heisey said about the throw from Angels catcher Chris Iannetta that hit him in the bridge of the nose in the fifth inning.

Reds trainer Paul Lassard came out to check on him, but he stayed in the game.
