In the last two games, the Miami Heat decided to play the Big Three in order to have the team’s superstars ready to go for the playoffs. With only two games remaining in the regular season, the primary objective for the Heat is to stay healthy.
Miami has been one of the luckiest teams in the league this season in terms of injuries. Other than a few bumps and bruises, practically no player has been sidelined over an extended period of time due to injury. Looking around the league, almost no playoff team has taken care of its players’ health better than the NBA champions.
Every team has had an important player out at one point or another, but the Heat have only rested their players in irrelevant games. A lot of credit has to go to the medical staff, and the physical preparation the players have gone through has resulted in what is probably the best regular season in franchise history.
