According to Bruce Feldman, CBS Sports senior college football columnist, former LSU quarterback Hayden Rettig will take an official visit to Rutgers, beginning Tuesday.

A 6-3, 220-pound pro-style quarterback, Rettig signed to LSU out of Cathedral high school (Los Angeles, Ca.) in 2013. He was a consensus four-star prospect by all of the major recruiting networks and played in the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

According to 247Sports.com, "Rettig signed with the Tigers in the same class as sophomore Anthony Jennings, who is now in a battle for the starting job with freshman Brandon Harris."

He has since been cleared to transfer from the school.

Rettig red-shirted as a freshman, and will have three years to play three after sitting out a year at his next BCS collegiate destination.
