Around 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Jason Heyward laced a three-RBI double down the right field line, causing fatal injuries to Roy Halladay's outing and to the 2012 Phillies season.

The three runs put the Braves up by six in just the second inning, as Atlanta lambasted the Phillies early Saturday in a 8-2 romp. Halladay gave up seven runs, all in the first two frames as he lasted only 12/3 innings, his shortest outing since September of 2006.

Combine that with the Cardinals' win in Chicago Saturday, and postseason hopes and wild-card fever withered away as night fell in Philadelphia.
