With playoff hopes dimming, this week's chatter has been dominated by Roy Halladay and his short, quick, troubling start this past Saturday.

After pitching 12/3 innings in a seven earned run mess, Halladay said afterward he was fine. He didn't have his best stuff and that the pain in his arm was "nothing long-term."

So while the Phillies have just seven games remaining after tonight's game against the Nationals, the man revered by Phillies fans and coaches alike will take the mound Saturday in Miami. Both the Phillies and the Marlins are out of the playoff hunt, so the game is meaningless in the standings, but Phillies coaches seem to be content to let Halladay pitch.
