Looks like there may be another coach on the market.

Speaking at a Gateway Bank event in Florida, Jon Gruden indicated he’d like to return to the NFL once again.

“I haven’t lost a game in 3½ years,” Gruden told the Ocala Star Banner‘s Carlos E. Medina. “But no, I would like to give coaching one more try.”

Gruden has made similar comments like these in the past, but has also declined previous job openings when he has been contacted for them. Instead, he has opted to remain in ESPN’s booth as an analyst on Monday Night Football.

Famously profiled in The New Yorker two years ago, Gruden had said that his broadcasting job keeps him close enough to the game, without suffering through the pains of defeat.

It sounds like the Tampa Bay job may be coming open soon, but Gruden’s history there may not appeal to ownership.
