The Angels' trade for Zack Greinke was a late bloomer.

The decision to send three prospects to the Milwaukee Brewers for him in late July is looking a lot better than it did after his first few unimpressive starts with the Angels. Greinke took a shutout into the seventh inning Tuesday, winning his third consecutive start as the Angels handed the A's a 6-1 defeat.

Greinke allowed a solo home run to Brandon Moss leading of the seventh for the A's only run of the night. That was one of four hits he allowed in seven innings. In eight starts since arriving just before the trade deadline in late July, Greinke is 4-2 with a 4.36 ERA.
