When running back Shonn Greene had arthroscopic knee surgery on Sept. 16 the Titans hoped it would only keep him out a few games.

Greene has missed two games since and his availability for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs doesn’t look good after he missed practice again Wednesday. Greene was hurt in the season opener but didn’t have surgery until eight days later.

Greene has been durable throughout his NFL career playing in 61 of 64 games including all 32 the past two seasons with the Jets.

“It’s getting better’’ Greene said. “It’s hard missing time but if you play this game injuries are a part of the game. You can’t complain you just have to put your foot down get better day by day and stay positive.”
