Miguel Gonzalez allowed just two runs on three hits in 7 2/3 inning and Jonathan Schoop had a two-run home run as the Orioles beat the Los Angeles Angels 4-2 on Tuesday night. It was their second straight win over the Angels.

Gonzalez (5-5) had been sent to Norfolk during the All-Star break so he could stay sharp. The Orioles also sent Bud Norris to the minors for a start during the break, and both returned with strong starts.

Zach Britton pitched the ninth for his 18th save.

The Orioles (55-44) lead the American League East by four games.
