The best season of Glen Davis' NBA career has come to a premature end, with the Magic announcing that their starting PF would be out 8-12 weeks after breaking his foot in their loss to the Knicks on Wednesday.

Davis had thrived in the wake of Dwight Howard's departure, averaging 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists a game on 45/0/72 shooting. He was one of the keys to Orlando's surprisingly fast start to the season; their tail-spin over the last two months began with the shoulder injury he suffered in mid-December.
