Glen Davis underwent surgery on the fractured fifth metatarsal in his left foot Friday, and Orlando Magic officials said afterward that the procedure was a success.

Doctors inserted a screw into Davis' foot to stabilize the bone and promote the healing process.

The surgery was performed on an outpatient basis, and Davis was resting at home by Friday afternoon.
