The losses keep coming for the Giants, who have been hit with a string of injuries after a relatively healthy start to their season.

Pablo Sandoval went for an MRI after feeling discomfort in Thursday's win and will miss at least two to three days because of a left foot strain. Manager Bruce Bochy said it's possible Sandoval misses up to a week's worth of games, but the Giants do not believe the third baseman will end up on the disabled list.

"We'll see how he responds to treatment," Bochy said. "(The trainers) are confident he'll be back and don't see it as a DL thing right now."

Sandoval isn't sure how he was hurt, although he told Bochy that he slipped in the batter's box at one point this week. Sandoval is hitting .288 with eight homers and 37 RBIs this season.
