Being the nephew of former NFL bad-boy linebacker Brian Bosworth, aka "The Boz," has been both a blessing and a curse for linebacker Kyle Bosworth, who the Giants officially signed Thursday.

"It makes it a little bit harder," Bosworth said of being a member of the Bosworth clan. "You don’t really come in under the radar. You get the perception that you’re going to come in in a helicopter and be kind of crazy.

"I’m a little flamboyant on the field. Off the field, I’m a little reserved."

Bosworth, 26, was undrafted out of UCLA. He spent his first three seasons with Jacksonville, recording 42 tackles and an interception. He started five games last season and led the Jaguars with 14 special teams tackles.

Bosworth became a restricted free agent following last season and the Jaguars elected not to re-sign him.
