Arroyo allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and struck out three. Aside from Pedro Villarreal, Reds pitchers allowed three runs on eight hits. Villarreal gave up six runs on seven hits in one-third of an inning in the eighth. Villarreal now has an ERA of 27.00 in five spring outings.
The Reds pounded out 15 hits, including two apiece for Denis Phipps, Jason Donald and Derrick Robinson. Chris Heisey hit his first homer of the spring. The Reds were 3 for 11 with 10 men left on base.
