Former Ranger Julio Borbon didn’t start in the completion of the Rangers’ three-game season series with the Cubs.

Borbon, whom the Rangers lost on outright waivers in April, has settled into a bench position with the Cubs. He has made only two starts, both in left field. Borbon began play hitting .263 in 19 at-bats for the Cubs.

“It’s worked out well for me,” said Borbon, the Rangers’ opening-day center fielder in 2010-11. “I’m glad to be here. I’m glad to be back in the majors.”
