Former Chicago Cubs minor league pitcher Chris Siegfried just earned the biggest win of his career and it took place nowhere near a baseball diamond.

The former 11th round draft pick won the ninth season of ABC's "The Bachelorette" winning the heart of Desiree Hartsock.

Siegfried played five seasons in the minor leagues amassing a 14-20 record and a 4.70 ERA. He never made it to the big leagues finishing his career in 2010 with the Class-A Daytona Cubs.

Sports will remain a reality TV theme as former soccer player and "The Bachelorette" season 9 contestant Juan Pablo Galavis will star in season 18 of "The Bachelor."
