When the Blue Jays say they are going to put their best team on the field game each game this year, one of the areas they’re going to be focusing on throughout spring training is Adam Lind’s value against left-handed pitching.

In a perfect scenario, manager John Gibbons would like to write Lind’s name down every night, probably batting fifth against righties, sixth against lefties.

“Ideally, if he bounces back and hits the way he did a few years ago — lefty, righty, no matter - then we’ve got a chance to be really good,” Gibbons said.
