Nicklas Grossmann is out for the rest of the season. That might be one day, that might be two days, that might be seven weeks, but no matter what, the Flyers will be without the defenseman until next season.

The team announced today that Grossmann had surgery to repair a busted ankle. The busting occurred last Friday in Game 4 of the First Round series against the Rangers. He'll be out eight-to-10 weeks, meaning the best-case scenario would put him out about a week after any potential seventh game in the Stanley Cup Final.
