It was looking rather bleak at 2-0 eight minutes into Game 2 of the Flyers-Rangers series Sunday at Madison Square Garden

The Flyers had just come off their first power play of the day without a shot, fans were cheering, the Rangers had momentum and then … the Flyers got a rush off a chip pass from Scott Hartnell and it resulted in a Jakub Voracek goal.

Just like that, the Flyers were back in the game. By the end of the second period, the Flyers were ahead and back in the series as they erased a lot of bad things Easter Sunday en route to a 4-2 victory that tied the series at 1-1. It was the Flyers' first win in New York after nine straight losses. Their last win at MSG was on Feb. 20, 2011.

New life for the Flyers
Game 3 is Tuesday at Wells Fargo Center.

Ray Emery, who is still having trouble moving laterally, came up big at times and finished with 31 saves. He got stronger as the game went on.

The Flyers did a much better job of getting pucks deep, forechecking and playing with the puck. Their only downfall was again having committed too many penalties that kept the Rangers on the power play much of the day.
