The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed defenceman T.J. Brodie to a two year contract.

Brodie a native of Chatham ON played 47 games last season with the Flames recording 14 points including 2 goals. Prior to joining the Flames for the truncated season he appeared in 35 games for Calgary’s AHL team the Abbotsford Heat notching another 20 points. In his first professional season in 2010-11 Brodie recorded 34 points in 68 games with the Heat while also performing in his first 3 NHL games with Calgary
