Jose Reyes will be placed on administrative leave for at least the entirety of spring training as commissioner Rob Manfred works to determine his punishment for the alleged domestic violence incident that occurred last October in Hawaii, according to a report from Ken Rosenthal that was later confirmed by Major League Baseball.

Reyes will be kept away from baseball activities until the criminal trial—including his scheduled Opening Day court date—can be resolved, at which point Major League Baseball will work to determine any applicable suspension beyond this leave.
