Looking down at his wrist watch, Flyers PR official Zack Hill called out, “We’re opening in 10 seconds!”

A five-minute cooling-off period immediately after the Flyers’ latest stinker of a game was – tick, tick, tick – just about over, so the door to the visiting dressing room at TD Garden was about to be opened for a dozen or so waiting media.

It never did. At least not right away. Five minutes passed, then 10, then 15, then 20.

Flyers coach Peter Laviolette generally stays out of the dressing room after games, but not so Saturday. Following the Flyers’ 3-0 whitewash to the Boston Bruins, a setback that ended a challenging week with three losses in three games, the coach called a team meeting, his first after a game this season.
