Former Pistons forward Chris Wilcox has fond memories of his two years in Detroit, although he didn't make the impact that he hoped for.

"A lot of great guys on that team, I still stay in contact with all of them," said Wilcox, who started for the Celtics against the Pistons on Sunday in place of Kevin Garnett.

Wilcox averaged 7.4 points and 4.8 rebounds last season in Detroit, the better of his two-year stint. There was a feeling his late-season play and subsequent chemistry with Greg Monroe would merit him coming back, but the two sides never took part in serious contract negotiations.

"In this business you're here today and gone tomorrow. There's no hard feelings," he said.
