Andre Ethier's spring numbers are starting to get silly.

After hitting a home run Tuesday in the Dodgers' 7-6 exhibition win over the Milwaukee Brewers, he has 11 hits: six doubles, two triples, two homers and one single. Is Ethier attempting to channel Mark McGwire, who hit 29 home runs and 27 singles in 2001?

"I'm not trying to hit the ball a certain way other than hard, square the ball up," Ethier said.

That's what Dodgers manager Don Mattingly is seeing too, Ethier's 1.080 slugging percentage notwithstanding.
