The Heat's 2013 second-round acquisition signed a contract that gives him an opt-out clause if Miami summons him this season.

James Ennis whom the Miami Heat traded for in the second-round of the 2013 NBA Draft will begin his professional career with the Perth Wildcats of Australia. Ennis' agent Scott Nichols said that Ennis turned down larger offers from France and Russia because his contract with the Australia team gives him an NBA opt-out clause this season. If Miami has room in its roster it could bring Ennis to the team this season.
