Dwight Freeney has always been a New York kind of guy.

Born in Hartford, Conn., the outside linebacker grew up a Giants fans and idolized the legendary Lawrence Taylor. After attending high school in Bloomfield, Conn., the 33-year-old played his collegiate ball at Syracuse University in upstate New York.

Now, 13 years after being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts, the seven-time Pro Bowler may get the opportunity to play for the team he loved as a youngster.

Freeney is looking for a job after he was informed by the Colts on February 15 that he would not be re-signed, and he’s excited about the possibility of joining the G-Men.
